Order Taker - Room Service

Role Overview

This position is centered on creating a memorable dining experience for guests, not merely delivering food and beverages. The role supports smooth room service and food-and-beverage operations by handling guest requests, coordinating with the kitchen, and helping keep service areas organized and well supplied.

Key Duties

• Provide day-to-day support to ensure room service and related food and beverage operations run efficiently.
• Help set up tables and service areas when required.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and assist with service flow.
• Clear and maintain work areas to keep them clean and orderly.
• Restock supplies and help keep service items available for use.
• Contribute to a guest experience that feels smooth, attentive, and personalized.

Work Expectations

The role requires an active, hands-on approach and consistent attention to safety, service standards, company procedures, and professional presentation. The job involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, including movement across uneven, sloping, or slippery surfaces. It also involves reading and checking menu information, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance. The position may also require bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees, stooping, and other related physical tasks.

Preferred Background

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Prior work experience in food and beverage service is an advantage, though related experience is not required. No supervisory background is needed, and no license or certification is necessary.
