Role Overview

This is a full-time permanent role based in Macroom, County Cork, serving Cork and surrounding counties. The position is within our Retinal Technicians team focused on diabetic eye screening. The job entails performing retinal photography to identify retinal damage possibly caused by diabetic complications. No prior experience is necessary, making this an excellent chance to enter healthcare or progress skills within the sector. You will join a professional and supportive team dedicated to becoming experts in retinopathy detection and care.

Team Environment

You will collaborate closely with Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians, Team Leaders, administration personnel, the programme manager, and clinical leads, all of whom are experts or advancing towards expert-level knowledge in retinopathy screening. Comprehensive support will be provided throughout your development.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• No prior experience required.
• Possession of a full, clean Irish driving license with secure vehicle storage available.
• A strong commitment to excellent customer care and enhancing patient health outcomes.
• Competency in IT skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and regular usage of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, task prioritization, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Possess a proactive work ethic and capacity to work with minimal supervision post-training.
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
