The opportunity
Te Manawa is a lively community hub that combines library services, creative activity, customer support, bookable spaces and community programmes in one welcoming place. It is designed to help people connect, learn, create and feel they belong, while reflecting the diversity of the local community.
As an experienced and people-oriented Operations Specialist, you will help run the day-to-day activity of the hub. Working with the Operations Lead, you will act as a senior on-site presence, make sure customers receive excellent service, and support the team so they can deliver strong experiences every day. You will assist Library and Council Service Assistants, coordinate venue hire activity, build strong relationships with community groups, and respond to operational issues promptly and effectively.
This is a permanent role for four days each week, totalling 32 hours, based at Te Manawa Community Hub. The working days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
About you
You are an experienced library or operations professional who is comfortable leading by example and helping others perform well. You should be confident working in a busy public setting and able to balance service, people leadership and operational priorities.

Salary band F applies, with pay of $76k to $89k pro rata depending on skills and experience.
