About Jurong Port
Jurong Port specialises in multipurpose port operations, efficiently handling general, bulk, and containerized cargo. The company manages key facilities such as the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and the Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South, with operations extending through joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port handled nearly 35 million tons of cargo and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo locally and internationally.
Job Overview
- Operate mobile cranes to transfer ship supplies and provisions between shore and vessels.
- Manage cargo handling safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate logistics among boat crew and external contractors during cargo operations.
- Report any technical malfunctions or safety and security breaches promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a valid mobile crane operating license is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of mobile crane operation experience is preferred, though candidates without experience may apply.
- Comfort with technology and IT-enabled tools including tablets and gadgets.
- Willingness to work in shifts of 8 or 12 hours as required.
- Strong team player able to adapt in a fast-paced work setting.
