Mechanical Assembly Engineer

Role Overview

The Mechanical Assembly Engineer is tasked with assembling electronic systems and their sub-components following precise engineering guidelines and established operating procedures to support electronics production.

Primary Duties

• Perform mechanical assembly and fitting tasks on electronic products and subsystems.
• Ensure all components are assembled within specified dimensional tolerances.
• Adhere strictly to quality assurance processes and production protocols.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and records.

Technical Expertise

• Skilled in various mechanical assembly techniques and use of fitting tools.
• Proficient in handling assembly tools including torque-controlled devices.
• Competent in interpreting engineering drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experienced in the use of precise measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers and micrometers.

Preferred Background

• Prior work experience in precision or electromechanical assembly environments is advantageous.
• Hands-on skills with assembly tools, fixtures, and measurement gauges.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold an ITI certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Experience

A minimum of 1 to 2 years in mechanical assembly is required, with preference given to experience related to electromechanical assembly processes.
