About the Role
Join a diverse and innovative team at Micron Technology dedicated to revolutionizing data usage to enhance lives globally. This position focuses on managing warehouse inventory accuracy, ensuring prompt delivery to customers, and maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards including SOX and ISO. You will operate material handling machinery, conduct cycle counts, process shipments, and collaborate across departments to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Receive materials promptly and accurately, verifying all associated documentation and entering data in SAP.
- Maintain comprehensive records of incoming goods and document discrepancies, collaborating with Procurement to resolve issues.
- Manage inventory with FIFO principles, perform SOX-compliant cycle counts, establish storage bin locations, and help maintain material data in SAP.
- Coordinate with Procurement on damaged parts processing and support IATF/ISO/Quality audits.
- Handle site-to-site transfers, prepare and label outbound shipments, generate shipping documents, and evaluate cost-effective freight options to meet delivery schedules.
- Adhere strictly to safety and environmental health procedures, apply ergonomic methods in handling, and process chemicals according to company standards and local regulations.
- Lead or assist in implementing new operational procedures, recommend process improvements, participate in lean initiatives including 6S, TPM, and CIP, and pursue quality and cost efficiency enhancements.
- Provide mentorship and serve as a key contact for internal stakeholders, responding via phone, email, and systems.
- Engage actively in team meetings, audit activities, and communicate suggestions or issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: Equivalent to O-level or SPM.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Skilled in using inventory management systems such as SAP and Material Master.
- Certified to operate material handling equipment including manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Knowledgeable in SOX cycle counting processes and ISO or quality audit standards.
- Strong dedication to safety, precision, and punctual delivery.
Preferred Skills
- Experience establishing bin location structures and handling consigned versus owned materials.
- Active participation in lean methodologies like 6S, TPM, and CIP with proven results.
- Involvement in audits related to IATF, ISO, Quality, and Finance (SOX).
- Familiarity with ergonomic practices and chemical handling regulations in warehouse settings.
