Role Overview
Join the Social and Affordable Housing Growth team to help deliver improved housing solutions across Queensland through an integrated supply strategy. Your contributions will directly support providing safe, secure, and appropriate housing for residents.
Housing Growth focuses on shaping and deploying modern housing initiatives that align with community needs and economic growth. This encompasses planning, designing, procuring, and contracting home delivery to maintain safe, secure, and suitable dwellings.
The Manager, Social Housing Capital Delivery collaborates closely with the Director of Capital Delivery, leading a high-performance team while actively participating in project and program execution. This position maintains partnerships with various stakeholders to advance capital work initiatives that underpin the department's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and report on a diverse portfolio of complex capital projects efficiently and professionally.
- Design, apply, and supervise program management frameworks, budget controls, and quality enhancements to ensure program success.
- Advise senior leadership on construction matters, contract oversight, and program outcomes, assisting clients in defining capital needs and planning facilities.
- Champion innovation and ongoing improvements in program management procedures, stakeholder communication, engagement, and reporting methods.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, delivery partners, and contractors including QBuild and external service providers to meet project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Produce comprehensive reports, submissions, briefs, and official correspondence pertaining to governance and social housing program delivery.
- Promote a culture of workplace health and safety by integrating relevant policies into daily activities.
