Manager ICT Governance

Role Overview

This position offers strategic support to the Chief Information Officer within Information Services, focusing on managing complex stakeholder relationships across a broad ICT service portfolio. The role entails advising senior executives in a demanding environment and delivering reports related to strategic ICT matters influencing the human and social services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, engaging senior executives, ministerial offices, clients, external bodies, and government departments.
• Prepare and coordinate detailed reports, submissions, proposals, audit responses, and briefing notes, contributing strategic insights for the Chief Information Officer and senior business executives.
• Manage the Estimates process for the division, working closely with the Director-General's office and senior executive teams across agencies to provide briefs and documentation.
• Oversee all ICT-related audits, reports, and responses promptly, ensuring ongoing monitoring and implementation of recommendations.
• Consult with departmental areas and external executive stakeholders to resolve policy and procedural issues efficiently.
• Administer executive assistance and administrative support services for the Chief Information Officer.
• Develop or apply understanding of government-wide ICT frameworks, governance mechanisms, and Project and Program Management methodologies.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of how ICT underpins departmental objectives and government priorities.
• Conduct intricate ad-hoc research and deliver high-level advice and analysis to the Chief Information Officer.
• Establish and nurture productive working relationships with key stakeholders within the department and other government agencies to ensure strong governance.
