Overview

As Manager of the Healthcare Performance & Innovation Office (HPIO) at St. Andrew's Community Hospital, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of care, patient safety, productivity, and the overall experience for patients and staff within the hospital and community care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist hospital leadership in designing, planning, and executing continuous improvement and innovation programs.
  • Create and deliver tailored training and practical application sessions on Lean Thinking and Human Factors Analysis & Classification System methodologies.
  • Implement the Ensure Safer System (ESS) Framework within the hospital environment.
  • Provide support to the Quality Assurance Committee of St. Andrew’s Senior Care Centres and Active Ageing Centre, contributing to relevant improvement projects.
  • Track performance metrics via the hospital’s Performance Dashboard and drive quality advancement.
  • Lead the introduction of a Data-driven Decision-Making System (DDDMS) at the hospital.
  • Coordinate reviews of Serious Reportable Events (SREs) ensuring timely reports are submitted to the Ministry of Health.
  • Organize the annual Quality Day event in collaboration with St. Andrew’s Nursing Homes.
  • Engage with external organizations to facilitate quality improvement efforts including conferences and joint projects across institutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department head.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess a degree in Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmaceutical Science.
  • Hold a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt credential.
  • Have a minimum of five years' relevant experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrate experience in facilitating workshops and delivering training sessions.
  • Preferably skilled in applying the Design Thinking framework and associated human-centred design methods such as persona creation, job-to-be-done analysis, insight generation, journey mapping, rapid prototyping, and developing wireframes or prototypes.
  • Experience in design and marketing is advantageous.
