About the Role

EtihadWE is inviting applications for the position of Manager Accounting to provide vital support for one of its subsidiaries. The selected candidate will ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards while bolstering strategic financial planning, reporting, and risk management efforts, ultimately contributing to the company's financial robustness and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and maintain bookkeeping accuracy.
• Ensure punctual and precise financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with relevant deadlines and legislation.
• Oversee daily accounting activities, focusing on ledger management.
• Implement robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial data accuracy.
• Liaise with both internal and external auditors effectively.
• Compile all necessary documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Evaluate discrepancies between budgeted and actual figures and suggest actionable improvements.
• Maintain strict compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Keep abreast of changes in accounting practices and tax laws.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process enhancements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities.
