Role Summary
We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our Ireland-based maintenance team to support the expansion and maintenance of Manna’s drone fleet across global operational sites. This position demands approximately 50% international travel and weekly presence at our Offaly test facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical assistance to operations teams at global sites.
- Travel internationally to support new site launches, training sessions, troubleshooting, and operational ramp-ups.
- Diagnose and resolve drone and equipment issues during live operations.
- Serve as the technical escalation contact for local maintenance and operations teams.
- Lead maintenance and technical readiness efforts at new operation sites.
- Train local staff on inspection, repair procedures, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance standards.
- Develop and update maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, service reports, work instructions, and training materials.
- Participate in fault investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay field feedback, reliability trends, and improvement suggestions.
- Support technical investigations and testing at the Offaly facility once weekly.
- Ensure all maintenance complies with approved procedures, technical specs, and safety protocols.
- Generate detailed maintenance service reports and technical summaries for internal teams.
- Contribute to establishing scalable maintenance processes for new markets and sites.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and disseminate technical knowledge throughout the organization.
- Recommend enhancements related to repairs, diagnostics, maintenance standards, fleet support, and readiness.
Personal Attributes and Qualifications
- Practical experience in hands-on technical roles such as maintenance, aircraft, drone, robotics, automotive, or field engineering.
- Excellent diagnostic, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to support and instruct teams remotely with clear and composed communication.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, eager to quickly master new technologies.
- Skilled at producing clear technical documentation and training content.
- Confident in delivering training and explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Adept in collaborating across maintenance, operations, engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations.
- Ability to work autonomously, adhere to procedures, and make informed technical decisions.
- Thrives in dynamic environments where priorities may rapidly shift.
- Detail-oriented with dedication to maintaining safe and reliable aircraft operation.
- Holds a trade, technical, engineering qualification, or has equivalent hands-on experience.
- Possesses a full clean driving license.
- Flexible and willing to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
- Comfortable with supporting global operations across various time zones.
Location and Travel
This role is based in Ireland, with remote responsibilities across global operations. It requires weekly visits to the test site in Offaly and international travel up to half the working time for site support and training.
