Maintenance Technician

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mayo. This vital position ensures the reliable and efficient operation of production machinery and facilities, focusing on safety and operational excellence.

Key Duties

• Conduct regular planned preventative maintenance on diverse plant machinery to maintain optimum function and safety standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, performing prompt repairs to reduce production interruptions.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance logs, including inspections, work orders, and repairs.
• Oversee spare parts inventory management to guarantee availability of essential components.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to sustain seamless production operations.
• Utilize hands-on skills such as basic machining, bearing and shaft assembly, and fault diagnosis to resolve technical problems.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on equipment improvements and process enhancements.
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental guidelines and company policies.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience or strong aptitude in machine maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a meticulous and systematic approach.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred minimum two years’ experience in machine maintenance.
• Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related discipline.
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement techniques.
