About McLean Farms
McLean Farms is a family-owned agribusiness located in Bagshot, Victoria, about 20 minutes from Bendigo. The business operates across several agricultural areas, including livestock and food production, as well as grain, compost, and feed mill activities.
The team is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Person who is keen to take on a mix of mechanical and farm maintenance work. Formal trade qualifications are not necessary; the key requirement is a practical mindset, a positive attitude, and a willingness to develop new skills.

Role Overview
In this position, you will work with the Poultry Rearing team to help maintain sheds, equipment, and site facilities, while also supporting day-to-day farm operations and bird welfare when needed.
What You Will Do
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across the farm.
- Service equipment and shed systems, and diagnose issues when they arise.
- Carry out regular inspections and preventive upkeep tasks.
- Support feeding, cleaning, and other poultry care duties as required.
- Respond to shed alarms and escalate or record maintenance concerns.
- Keep work areas tidy, safe, and well organised.
- Work in line with biosecurity procedures and workplace health and safety expectations.
About You
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with tools, enjoys practical problem-solving, and takes pride in doing quality work. You should be dependable, self-driven, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and committed to safety and animal welfare. A willingness to learn and handle a variety of tasks is essential. Experience in maintenance, farming, or agriculture is helpful but not required, as training will be provided for the right person.
