About the Role
Join a dedicated team at a specialist residential care service focused on mental health and complex needs. As a Maintenance Assistant at Redmarley, you will contribute to creating a safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment for residents and support staff. Redmarley offers nurse-led care and helps individuals pursue their personal goals in a supportive home setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive maintenance and repair services across the facility.
- Perform various building tasks including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general repair work.
- Keep plant equipment, services, and vehicles in proper working condition.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and promptly report any faulty equipment or potential hazards.
- Be prepared to travel to other locations for maintenance duties and respond to emergency repair needs outside normal hours as required.
- Conduct weekly inspections of fire alarm points, fire exits, door retaining devices, and emergency lighting systems.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience in indoor and outdoor painting and decorating.
- Valid full driving licence with willingness to travel for work assignments.
- Effective communication skills with an ability to document maintenance tasks accurately.
- Competent in DIY and general maintenance activities.
- Preferred qualification: Level 2 Diploma in Painting & Decorating or Maintenance.
- Friendly, conscientious, with a strong team spirit and a positive attitude.
Additional Information
- Successful applicants must complete an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check before commencing work.
- This position operates Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, totaling 40 hours per week.
