Purpose

The Maintenance Assistant serves as a versatile tradesperson responsible for handling maintenance, repairs, painting, and property improvements. Early identification of potential issues to prevent escalation is key, utilizing various tools to preserve the property's pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all guest rooms, facilities, and communal areas are maintained to high standards
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team
• Tackle maintenance challenges with innovative problem-solving
• Perform maintenance and preventative tasks as needed

Required Skills and Experience

• Physically capable, motivated, and committed to completing tasks safely and professionally
• Experience in general building maintenance, including foundation skills in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work; formal qualifications are not necessary
• Strong communication skills, able to interact clearly with managers, guests, and contractors
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
