Loss Prevention Officer

Position Overview

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the property by patrolling premises, assisting guests with room access, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to emergencies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrol all property areas to ensure security and assist guests.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Secure entrances by locking when necessary.
• Conduct daily inspections for physical hazards.
• Respond promptly to accidents, emergencies, administer first aid/CPR, and contact emergency medical services as needed.
• Assist guests or employees during emergencies and manage disturbances professionally.
• Request external help if situations escalate.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting security or loss prevention occurrences.
• Handle guest and employee interruptions and complaints efficiently.
• Mitigate safety hazards and escort unauthorized individuals off the premises without disrupting operations.
• Respond to vehicle-related incidents such as accidents or thefts and coordinate assistance using proper communication protocols.
• Complete shift summary and daily activity reports related to loss prevention.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security reports and release information only to authorized personnel.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and perform interviews as required.
• Adhere to company policies, report unsafe conditions or accidents, complete safety trainings, and uphold professional personal appearance standards.
• Provide warm and professional guest interactions, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests, preparing accurate documentation.
• Foster positive team relationships and support collective goals.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and stand, sit, or walk for prolonged shifts.
• Perform routine physical tasks involving lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 50 pounds alone and heavier objects with help.
• Navigate confined or uneven spaces safely and perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandatory.

Work Environment and Expectations

• Position is non-management and full-time based on site in Fujairah, UAE.
• Ability to visually verify information, inspect equipment, and respond quickly is essential.
• Perform duties involving physical exertion including bending, twisting, reaching, and using fine motor skills.
• May require working on uneven or slippery surfaces and navigating stairs or ramps.
