Role Summary
As a Linen Porter within Housekeeping, you will oversee management of bed linens, towels, and robes to maintain cleanliness standards and contribute to guest satisfaction.
Key Duties
- Retrieve housekeeping trolleys from storage cupboards and position them along corridors.
- Take linen trolleys out of cupboards and place them in designated corridor areas.
- Strip all linens, towels, and robes from rooms of departing guests.
- Sort soiled linens and place them into the appropriate cages for laundering.
- Restock cupboards with clean linen, noting and reporting any shortages or issues to your Line Manager.
- Maintain cupboards stocked sufficiently throughout the day to meet operational needs.
- Ensure corridors are clear from dirty linens, trolleys, glassware, trays, and bottles.
- Report any issues discovered in guest bedrooms promptly to the Line Manager.
Additional Details
- The position requires a 40-hour work week, typically across 5 days.
- Standard shift hours run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
