Light Duty Driver

Role Overview

The Light Duty Driver position involves safe and efficient handling of light vehicle fleet duties, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of processed items while maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to UAE traffic regulations applicable to the light vehicle fleet and promptly report any safety or health hazards encountered to the reporting supervisor.
• Support vehicle operation procedures by participating in drive tests for new vehicles prior to deployment.
• Ensure correct and secure loading of vehicles to prevent imbalance or accidents caused by shifting cargo.
• Identify and select alternative routes to optimize journey times, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce fuel consumption.
• Keep detailed and accurate daily trip records and submit necessary information to the Operations Assistant as required.
• Responsibly manage the transportation of processed items and linens between various internal and external clients according to both scheduled and unscheduled requests, aiming for customer satisfaction.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness by performing regular interior cleaning to prevent contamination, contributing to a well-kept fleet.
• Interact courteously and professionally with customers, both internal staff and external clients.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a High School Certificate is mandatory.
• Valid UAE driving license specifically for light duty vehicles is required.
• At least two years of driving experience on UAE roads is essential.
• Strong communication skills to ensure effective interactions with customers and team members.
