Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Licensing Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive licensing and appointment assistance to producers, managers, directors, partners, and carriers. This role demands an in-depth understanding of state compliance regulations, carrier rules, and appointment requirements to ensure adherence.

Build and sustain strong relationships with customers by recognizing and fulfilling their needs.
Handle processing of new license applications and renewals efficiently.
Verify compliance with continuing education standards and guide as needed.
Conduct follow-up actions on any issues related to non-compliance.
Audit vendors to confirm they possess appropriate licenses.
Address additional requests from Departments of Insurance promptly to facilitate license issuances.
Advise licensees on updating resident, business, mailing, and email addresses correctly.
Contribute to the development and revision of licensing guidelines and company policies.
Engage in the industry licensing group via SILA to remain informed on licensing changes and trends.

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred.
0 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
High attention to detail with exceptional multitasking capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Dedication to delivering superior service consistently.
Proven track record of meeting departmental quality standards and goals.
Capability to function effectively both independently and within a team setting.
Ability to manage work effectively under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary ranges from $43,200 to $68,850 depending on experience and qualifications.

Physical and Technical Requirements

Must be capable of operating a PC and other office equipment, with ability to sit or occasionally stand for long periods.
