Role Overview
The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training initiatives for new hires and existing employees across departments in our Orlando office. This position aims to enhance employee skills, improve performance, and align learning programs with organizational objectives. Additionally, the role involves creating technical documentation to support these programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive training sessions using instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning formats for onboarding and ongoing employee development.
- Administer post-training evaluations and analyze feedback to assess training effectiveness.
- Facilitate leadership development programs tailored for supervisors and managers.
- Create and maintain training materials including presentations, manuals, job aids, assessments, e-learning modules, as well as technical documents such as user guides and process notes.
- Translate complex concepts into clear, accessible learning content to support company initiatives, new products, and process updates.
- Manage learning systems by handling user accounts, troubleshooting, maintaining training records, attendance logs, and performance reports for compliance.
- Organize scheduling, logistics, and communication for training sessions, collaborating with various teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Continuously update training programs using industry best practices, new technologies, and modern methodologies.
- Evaluate outcomes to recommend improvements enhancing learner engagement and skill development.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage both in-person and virtual audiences, adapting to diverse learning styles.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure clarity and precision in training content and documents.
- Capability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Passion for teaching, fostering development, and crafting effective learning experiences.
- Curiosity and eagerness to improve training content, delivery, and personal expertise continuously.
- Strong organizational ability to present information logically and accessibly.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, adjusting to changing business requirements.
- Willingness to learn and utilize new training tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in formal or informal training facilitation.
- Background in creating instructional materials and documentation.
- Confidence in delivering presentations both virtually and face-to-face.
Work Environment
This position is based in the Orlando office and involves working onsite.
