Laundry Attendant

Role overview

This position is part of the housekeeping and laundry team at a luxury hospitality property in Tirana. The role focuses on processing guest and linen laundry through washing, drying, dry cleaning support, folding, sorting, and maintaining clean, organized workflow standards.

Key duties

• Run and oversee washing, drying, and dry-cleaning equipment, including adding the required chemicals and removing lint from traps.
• Check items for stains or damage and decide whether they should be repaired, spot-treated, rewashed, or discarded.
• Inspect items after cleaning and place them neatly into clean linen carts.
• Select the proper dryer settings based on fabric type, including temperature and time.
• Clear lint, debris, filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned items by hand or with a folding machine into the correct sizes.
• Keep accurate records of all laundry processed.
• Follow company safety, security, and operational policies at all times.
• Report injuries, accidents, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential company information and assets.
• Work cooperatively with team members, support shared goals, and respond appropriately to coworker concerns.
• Meet quality standards and look for ways to improve efficiency, productivity, safety, quality, and cost control.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines for defects before or during use.
• Perform the physical demands of the job, including standing or moving for long periods, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds without help, and working in confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas.
• Reach, bend, twist, stoop, pull, and move up and down stairs, ramps, and similar spaces as required.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.
