Role Summary
As a Kitchen Porter, you become an essential support to the kitchen team by upholding excellent food hygiene standards. Your role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen environment, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation, while also lending a hand with basic food preparation tasks.
Work Environment and Location
This position is based at The Swallow Falls Inn near Betws-Y-Coed, Wales — opening February 2025. The Inn is ideally situated by the scenic Swallow Falls waterfall nestled in Snowdonia National Park, offering 38 guest rooms and a large campsite with glamping pods. This location provides an incredible home base for outdoor adventure and natural exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dishwashing and ensure all kitchen equipment is kept impeccably clean.
- Assist in simple food preparation activities as requested.
- Collaborate efficiently with both kitchen colleagues and front-of-house staff maintaining a courteous and confident demeanor.
- Follow a strict cleaning schedule to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
- Complete any additional general duties as assigned by management.
