Junior Technical Solutions Engineer APAC

About the Role

Our client is a prominent innovator in Communication and Collaboration technologies, providing critical mission and business solutions for public safety, government sectors, critical infrastructure, and enterprises. This role offers the chance to work with advanced technology within a highly dynamic environment. The Junior Technical Solutions Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to customers and sales teams, requiring independent initiative and motivation. The position operates remotely with a requirement to travel across South-east Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Australia or New Zealand without employer sponsorship due to the nature of public sector transactions.

Technical Knowledge

• General understanding of Linux Red-Hat operating systems.
• Familiarity with network architectures including Private LTE and 5G.
• Basic comprehension of communication protocols such as SIP, Diameter, MRCP, TCP/IP, and SS7 protocols like ISUP, MAP, and INAP.
• Appreciation for databases like Oracle and MySQL.
• Basic knowledge of mobile devices and applications on Android and iOS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements, including technical and business dependencies, and propose appropriate technology solutions.
• Create and deliver engaging technical presentations and demonstrations of products and services to clients.
• Address technical inquiries and provide detailed responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Collaborate with the product development teams to stay informed on new features and updates, ensuring customers are well briefed.
• Prepare professional technical proposals.
• Work closely with APAC sales teams to align technical solutions with sales strategies.
• Deliver technical training programs to distributors and customers.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to engage potential clients and remain current on market trends.
• Operate primarily from a home office setup.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a technical engineering role.
• Strong technical background in IT and Cloud solutions; telecommunication expertise is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with familiarity in Microsoft Visio or equivalent diagramming tools.
• Experience managing RFI and RFP processes with prompt and effective response preparation.
• Self-driven with the capability to work independently and collaboratively; keen to engage in self-learning.
• Fluency in English is required.
