Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Specification Manager (m/f/d) to join our team at the earliest opportunity.

Key Details

• Fixed-term contract for 12 months
• Annual salary between €50,000 and €55,000 for full-time work
• 38-hour workweek with flexible flexitime
• Home office allowance up to 10 days per month

Responsibilities

• Participate in national and international innovation and renovation projects
• Create, maintain, and manage raw material and finished product specifications
• Provide product specifications in both German and English for domestic and international markets
• Support product registration processes in target markets
• Assist in developing and verifying product claims as well as packaging and artwork information
• Ensure compliance with quality, nutrition, and sustainability standards
• Maintain relevant master data in SAP and other specification management systems
• Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, quality assurance, supply chain, and external suppliers
• Help harmonize and continually improve specification processes across the Hero Group
• Monitor relevant food law requirements and regulatory changes

Requirements

• Completed degree in Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Nutritional Science, Food Science, Quality Management, or related discipline
• Initial practical experience in quality management, specification management, product management, regulatory affairs, or similar areas within the food industry
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and food law
• Analytical and structured approach to work
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent teamworking and communication abilities
• Proficient in German and English (minimum C1 level) both spoken and written
• Good command of MS Office; experience with SAP and data management systems is beneficial
