Junior Pricing Analyst

Position Overview

Oliver Healthcare Packaging is seeking a Junior Pricing Analyst to join their Singapore office. The role involves enhancing pricing strategies and protocols, recommending system utilization improvements, and optimizing pricing procedures for better efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional and system-related initiatives.
• Propose financial process optimizations and potentially lead their deployment.
• Analyze project cost trends and ingredient risks, adjusting pricing strategies to safeguard profitability.
• Collaborate closely with the Purchasing team on ingredient bookings under long-term contracts.
• Support the team with complex pricing queries and resolving pricing discrepancies.
• Conduct regular market and customer pricing benchmarks to ensure alignment.
• Streamline pricing workflows and reduce inconsistencies such as manual pricing and credit anomalies.
• Perform pricing quotation analyses for Sales management, working alongside sales and marketing to prepare proposals and quotes.
• Assist in managing the Quote Queue for high-level or peer reviews of quotations.
• Contribute to training efforts for the Global Pricing Team.
• Maintain pricing databases including gathering requirements for system enhancements, testing, and validation.
• Provide mentoring on pricing calculations, analysis, reporting, systems, and process flows.
• Troubleshoot pricing system issues and deliver ad hoc reports and analyses as needed.

Qualifications

• Holds a diploma or degree, or possesses over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in pricing, sales service, or financial costing is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of general business and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in computer use, especially spreadsheets and email; familiarity with statistical and BI tools such as Tableau, SAS, or Minitab is advantageous.
• Capable of handling complex analyses independently with strong problem-solving skills, data collection, and decision-making capabilities.
• Good interpersonal skills to mentor and train team members.
