About The Position
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Support Engineer to become part of our User Support team. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals looking to begin or grow their IT career within a large and complex healthcare organisation. You will play an essential role supporting staff across NHS Dumfries & Galloway by maintaining reliable and effective digital services that assist patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver first-line IT support to staff throughout the organisation, troubleshooting hardware, software, and access-related issues.
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and upkeep of devices.
- Work with various technologies, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint devices.
- Partner with senior engineers and specialist teams to resolve technical problems.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving services and share knowledge among teams.
Candidate Profile
- A strong enthusiasm for IT and technology.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with good communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach, able to support users at all levels.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a structured support environment.
- While previous IT support experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory; we encourage applicants at the early stage of their IT journey.
