Role Overview
We seek a driven and resourceful Junior Business Development Associate to bolster our commercial engagements and customer relations. This role suits a well-organized, entrepreneurial-minded individual comfortable in a fast-paced environment, supporting varied business development activities in close collaboration with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating tailored presentations, commercial documents, and briefing materials for clients and prospects.
- Manage and update the Customer Relationship Management system to maintain accurate records of contacts, activities, and opportunities.
- Coordinate participation in trade shows, conferences, and industry events, handling logistics, material preparation, and post-event follow-up.
- Organize meetings, appointments, and discovery calls for the senior business development and leadership teams.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and prospects, supporting relationship management and follow-ups.
- Facilitate collaboration among business development, engineering, programme delivery, logistics, and operations teams to align customer expectations with delivery capabilities.
- Support monitoring, reporting, and competitor analysis to keep track of market activities and commercial opportunities.
- Prepare internal reports, pipeline summaries, sales forecasts, and other commercial metrics.
- Help nurture qualified leads and advance opportunities through the business development pipeline.
This position involves travel across Europe and the UK to customer sites, trade events, and partner locations.
Desired Qualifications and Attributes
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree or qualification in Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Management, Aviation, or related fields.
- Previous experience in business development, sales support, customer engagement, consulting, marketing, or project coordination is a plus but not mandatory.
- Keen interest in aerospace, defence, unmanned systems, or advanced technology sectors.
- Entrepreneurial approach, proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal talents to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Analytical and structured mindset supported by solid research and information gathering skills.
- Basic knowledge of business development and sales processes, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in both German and English languages is essential.
Employment Details
The role is based in Munich with regular interaction with international teams and travel to various locations across Europe and the UK. Depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience, the position may be offered as a permanent full-time role or an early-career development/internship opportunity.
