Overview
PFH Technology Group is looking for a motivated and detail-focused Junior IT Business Analyst to join the IT Solutions team based in Dublin. This role involves supporting the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing operation of the SmartSimple Grant Management System, working closely with both business stakeholders and technical professionals.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 application support to both internal and external users of the SmartSimple platform, ensuring timely diagnosis and resolution of issues and managing the ticketing process including escalation where necessary.
- Assist in onboarding users, provide training sessions, and create supporting documentation.
- Support the configuration, testing, and launch of grant programs within SmartSimple; participate in user acceptance testing and production deployment activities.
- Assist with migration of grant data from the legacy Fluent system to SmartSimple, including validation, reconciliation, quality assurance, and preparing related documentation and test plans.
- Analyze existing business workflows, identify enhancements, gather and document requirements, facilitate communication between business and technical teams, and develop both functional and technical documentation.
- Support the creation and upkeep of Power BI dashboards and reports ensuring accuracy and high data quality, catering to reporting needs derived from SmartSimple data.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, Project Management, Finance, or related fields; relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience with SmartSimple or comparable grant management systems.
- Background in Level 1 and Level 2 application support roles.
- Demonstrated business analysis experience, preferably within public sector or regulated contexts.
- Experience in supporting data migration initiatives.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical capabilities and effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to independently and collaboratively work within cross-disciplinary teams.
Additional Skills & Desirables
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery approaches.
- Exposure to SaaS applications support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and SQL.

- Manage the SmartSimple IT Helpdesk effectively providing top-notch support services.
- Handle grant scheme configuration and deployments competently.
- Produce comprehensive business, functional, and technical documentation.
- Lead data migration support activities including validation reports and test script preparation.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and relevant reporting outputs.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards in all application support tasks.
