Role Overview

  • Participate in daily production problem-solving alongside core teams.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, thorough overhauls, and equipment inspections to avoid unplanned downtime.
  • Fabricate parts using various shop equipment, including lathes, mills, saws, grinders, and presses.
  • Determine work scopes to facilitate corrective maintenance and create work orders accordingly.
  • Utilize SAP software to monitor scheduled maintenance tasks and record all maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must hold a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certification (433A Red Seal).
  • Minimum one year of journeyman-level experience; three years preferred.
  • Proven ability to repair various conveying systems.
  • Preferred knowledge of packaging machinery.
  • Skilled in high-standard welding suitable for food manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude with a dedication to continuous learning.

Compensation and Work Conditions

  • Hourly wage: $43.50 per hour.
  • Work schedule includes rotating shifts with eligibility for overtime pay as per labour laws and collective agreements.
  • Overtime compensated at legally mandated rates depending on hours worked beyond regular shifts.
