ESFM, the integrated facilities management division of Compass Group USA, is hiring full-time janitorial staff for a site in King William, Virginia. The position is based at Nestle, 931 Dunluce Road, King William, VA 23086. Online applications are the only accepted method.

Schedule and compensation

This is a full-time role with a schedule that can vary by day and hour; additional details will be shared during the interview. The pay rate is between $16.00 and $16.50 per hour.

What the job involves

The janitor is responsible for keeping the facility clean, orderly, and sanitary. Work includes heavy cleaning tasks such as floor care, rug shampooing, wall and glass cleaning, and rubbish removal.

Key duties

Remove and dispose of trash by following approved procedures and infection-control guidelines.
Dust and damp-mop floors in line with established cleaning methods.
Move furniture and equipment as needed for thorough cleaning, then return items to their proper places.
Clean assigned spaces using the provided materials and equipment, and sanitize all surfaces using the eight-step cleaning process.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and similar surfaces to support a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Identify areas that need attention and take initiative to complete cleaning tasks.
Complete work assigned by the supervisor and carry out other duties as needed.
Follow all applicable federal, state, and county rules while performing the job.
Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets as required.
Work cooperatively with the team and maintain a professional approach with customers, coworkers, and others.

Requirements

At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.
