Role Overview
This newly established role seeks an IT Applications Manager to lead the applications team in delivering expert support, ongoing improvements, and effective change management of hospital systems. The role serves as the key liaison between clinical and administrative staff, application vendors, and the IT department to ensure critical systems support superior patient care, smooth operations, and compliance with regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and provide governance and strategic direction for core clinical and administrative applications of the hospital.
- Maintain the stability, security, and clinical integrity of the Patient Administration System (PAS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms.
- Oversee the development and performance evaluation of the applications team.
- Manage departmental budgeting and resource allocation effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related disciplines.
- Extensive experience working with large-scale enterprise or business applications.
- Professional training or certifications in ITIL, project delivery, change management, clinical systems, vendor management, or application lifecycle management.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical operations and practical knowledge of clinical applications and informatics.
- Strong business insight with skills in budgeting, data analytics, and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal capabilities, fostering engagement with colleagues, senior leadership, and clients.
