iOS Engineer (Coding Agent Experience)

Role overview

This is a remote contract opportunity for an iOS engineer focused on using AI coding agents to complete and assess challenging engineering work. The role centers on evaluating mobile code produced by frontier models and applying real-world engineering judgment to improve correctness, quality, maintainability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Use advanced AI coding assistants to finish and assess difficult engineering assignments.
• Inspect AI-generated mobile app code for correctness, code quality, maintainability, and performance impact.
• Spot defects, edge cases, and likely failure points in model-produced output.
• Compare responses from multiple leading models and judge their respective strengths and weaknesses.
• Use professional engineering judgment to solve practical mobile development scenarios.

Required experience and qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting production iOS apps with Swift and contemporary iOS frameworks.
• Frequent use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar platforms.
• Ability to review model-generated mobile implementations and make sound architectural decisions.

Preferred background

• Prior experience shipping production mobile applications.

Compensation and engagement details

The rate is $85 per hour. In addition, each accepted task is paid at $400. Typical assignments take about 2 to 3 hours once you have ramped up. Pay is linked to approved work, so compensation depends on accepted output.
