Investment Associate – Asset Backed Finance

About the Role

An international European banking and investment group is recruiting an Investment Associate to become part of its expanding Asset-Backed Finance division located in Dublin. This position involves engagement with the entire transaction lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, transaction execution, and monitoring secured lending deals across diverse asset categories. Collaborating closely with senior investment team members, the role provides practical experience in financial modelling, credit analysis, due diligence, and deal structuring.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and analyze financial models to support investment decisions.
• Conduct credit underwriting assessments and thorough due diligence processes.
• Assist in executing transactions and preparing related documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and manage associated risks.
• Prepare materials for investment committees and conduct market research.
• Engage and coordinate with both internal teams and external partners.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between three to six years of experience within Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Corporate Banking, Structured Finance, Asset-Backed Finance, or Private Credit domains.
• Exhibit strong financial modelling capabilities and analytical proficiency.
• Demonstrate sound commercial judgment complemented by effective communication skills.
