Role overview
The Investment Advisor works alongside Relationship Managers to design and manage client portfolios. The core purpose of the role is to build investment strategies that suit each client’s goals, strategic asset allocation, and risk appetite, while staying aligned with the bank’s house view.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored investment advice to private banking clients and construct strategies that match their investment goals, target asset allocation, and risk profile.
- Share the bank’s house views with marketing teams and coordinate with product specialists for support and training.
- Join Relationship Managers in client meetings to explain ideas, present investment concepts, prepare proposals, and carry out portfolio reviews.
- Work with the CIO team to help clients build resilient portfolios across discretionary and advisory solutions that support long-term objectives.
- Contribute to product and solution ideas by tracking market offerings, suggesting new products, and promoting ideas approved by the Product Council.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and follow through on new trading ideas across the bank’s full range of solutions, including cash trading, derivative structures, funds, and alternatives.
- Follow internal policies and external regulatory requirements at all times.
Candidate profile
The bank is seeking someone with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Banking, ideally with CFA and CACS certifications. The role calls for at least 3 years of experience in the financial industry in an investment advisory capacity, along with strong product knowledge across asset classes, analytical ability, strategic thinking, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the confidence to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
