Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Investigative Journalist to join us on a contract basis, working remotely with a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours. The role involves producing original news stories, features, and detailed articles through in-depth research and interviews.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pitch, and develop unique news stories, feature articles, and comprehensive coverage.
• Conduct interviews and gather primary insights while verifying information through reliable sources.
• Write clear, engaging, and precise content designed for a variety of audiences.
• Proofread and edit articles to ensure consistency, clarity, and editorial compliance.
• Work collaboratively with editors, designers, and fellow journalists to improve content quality.
• Stay updated on current events, trends, and subject matters relevant to assigned topics.

Requirements

• Proven journalistic experience supported by a strong portfolio of published material.
• Exceptional writing and speaking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Competency in conducting interviews and synthesizing complex data.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines effectively.
• High levels of curiosity, initiative, and critical analysis skills.
• Good knowledge of media law, journalistic ethics, and professional standards.
