Role Overview

The Information Technology Specialist role, based full-time on-site in Doha, Qatar, involves overseeing and maintaining IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and end-user equipment to ensure reliable, secure, and effective functioning. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system health, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, applying updates and patches, managing network services, and implementing security best practices. The role also encompasses telecom and ELV system support as required by projects, providing prompt technical assistance internally and externally, documenting solutions and workflows, and collaborating with engineering and project teams to fulfill operational and project needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong foundational knowledge of information technology with practical experience administering and supporting IT systems.
• Competence in network administration covering configuration, monitoring, and upkeep of LAN and WAN environments.
• Familiarity with network security measures including firewall management, access controls, vulnerability reduction, and safeguarding data.
• Proven troubleshooting aptitude to diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Customer-focused communication skills suitable for effective technical user support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional background.
• Prior exposure to telecom, ELV, or electronic security systems within project-based settings is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, and fundamental cloud or server platforms is a plus.
• Capacity to work on location in Doha, Qatar, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborate across technical teams.
