About the Role
Oon & Bazul LLC, a leading law firm based in Singapore, seeks a hands-on IT Executive responsible for managing the daily IT operations. This role emphasizes practical execution and ensuring seamless IT support throughout the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to users, handling hardware, software, and connectivity challenges.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and software applications effectively.
- Provide support for Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate vendors when necessary.
- Assist in maintaining core systems such as document management, practice management, legal applications, and AI tools, performing routine checks and following up on user issues.
- Ensure daily IT operations run smoothly, maintaining system uptime and reliability.
- Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, account creation, and access removal in line with firm policies.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory records, tracking devices, licenses, peripherals, and warranty statuses, aiding procurement and asset audits.
- Facilitate system updates, upgrades, and security patching by coordinating with users and vendors to minimize disruptions, conducting post-update verifications, and reporting issues.
- Enforce endpoint protection, patch compliance, and regular backup verification on all devices.
- Monitor security alerts, suspicious activities, and phishing incidents, escalating them promptly following incident response protocols.
- Support access control reviews ensuring user permissions align with roles and are revoked promptly upon offboarding.
- Uphold password policies and promote multi-factor authentication adoption across the firm’s IT ecosystem.
- Assist in the maintenance and testing of IT incident response and business continuity plans.
- Adhere to confidentiality and data protection standards as required by the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and legal industry norms.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in IT support or IT operational roles.
- Fundamental knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 productivity applications.
- Competence in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and IT support tools is advantageous.
- Strong motivation to learn and adhere to structured IT procedures.
- Clear and effective communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Organized, responsible, and capable of collaborating effectively within teams.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security solutions, backup systems, and incident escalation processes.
- Experience working in environments with security audits or incidents is a valuable asset.
