Overview

Qatar Airways is revolutionizing passenger experience through innovation and exceptional digital products within its Product Development and Design division. The In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) team plays a critical role in delivering engaging onboard digital storytelling. This position manages the entire digital content ecosystem to enhance entertainment for millions of passengers across inflight entertainment, OTT, and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of content ingest processes to guarantee precise, consistent availability across broadcast, OTT, and inflight entertainment platforms, including formatting, validation, and delivery.
  • Manage the packaging and technical preparation of content to ensure alignment with aircraft systems and playback standards, validating assets against required specifications.
  • Coordinate publishing workflows to assure timely content launches that align with programming strategies across all digital and inflight platforms.
  • Serve as the main operational contact point liaising with internal teams, airline stakeholders, content service providers, and external vendors to maintain smooth content delivery.
  • Enhance operational effectiveness and scalability by identifying process deficiencies and driving workflow and system improvements.
  • Refine operational systems to improve accuracy in delivery, catalogue maintenance, publishing efficiency, and asset management performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, coupled with over 10 years of related professional experience.
  • Comprehensive expertise in content operations workflows including ingest, formatting, quality control, and delivery.
  • Proficient in managing digital content catalogues and metadata management systems.
  • Experienced in coordinating with multiple content vendors, distributors, and service providers.
  • Knowledgeable with media asset management, digital asset management, and content management systems.
  • Strong leadership skills including delegation, team direction, mentoring, skill development, and fostering collaboration.
  • Experience in airline inflight entertainment, OTT/streaming services, and digital publishing platforms, working with content service providers and vendors.
  • Solid understanding of international media supply chains, diverse content delivery workflows, and multi-system environments.
  • Awareness of content monetization techniques, advertising partnerships, commercial collaborations, and analytics-driven content performance tracking.
