About the Role
Join Vattenfall as an IBM Controller Administrator to ensure dependable and compliant financial reporting and consolidation processes within our international energy company. This role combines practical system administration with in-depth group accounting and consolidation knowledge to support operational period‑end closings effectively.
Located in Berlin, Germany, this position works closely with Group Accounting, Tax, IT, and Finance Shared Services units across Europe to facilitate transparent and accurate financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer IBM Controller for reliable and compliant operation supporting transparent financial reporting.
- Manage and configure group consolidation structures, master data, and system parameters.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Oversee user access and authorization management to maintain system security and internal control compliance.
- Collaborate closely with finance and IT stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency, data integrity, and system performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience using IBM Controller software.
- Solid grounding in accounting principles, preferably group or corporate accounting.
- Familiarity with consolidation and closing processes at group level.
- Proficient in handling financial systems and structured datasets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite, especially Excel.
- Fluent English communication, both spoken and written.
- Desirable: Basic SQL knowledge, experience with SAP FI / S/4HANA, and background in shared services or group finance environments.
