Hygiene Operative (Night Shift)

Overview

Become a crucial member of our Hygiene Team at Proper Cornish, working night shifts from Monday to Friday between 22:00 and 06:30. This role involves maintaining stringent cleanliness standards in our bakery, ensuring all facilities and equipment are hygienic, safe, and compliant with food safety regulations.

Compensation

The starting pay is £13.55 per hour, with an enhanced rate of £16.94 per hour applicable for hours worked between 8pm and 6am and for any hours exceeding 37.5 per week.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding hygiene practices throughout the production areas of the bakery to keep them sanitary and safe for the next shift.
• Conduct in-depth cleaning of large-scale bakery machinery and food processing zones using approved cleaning methods and chemicals after production hours.
• Document cleaning activities accurately to verify compliance with hygiene protocols and to record that sanitation levels meet required standards.
• After training, operate and clean various bakery machinery, including dismantling and reassembling equipment to ensure thorough sanitation.
