Human Resources Specialist

Role overview

Global Wave Group is hiring an HR Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day people operations from its Albany, Auckland office. This role reports to the HR Specialist and is centered on employee lifecycle support, HR system administration, policy compliance, and helping deliver HR initiatives, particularly across overseas teams.

What you will do

• Administer employee accounts and access permissions in HR-related systems.
• Support the full employee journey, including onboarding, internal transfers, job changes, and exit processes for international teams.
• Help ensure staff follow company policies and relevant regulatory obligations.
• Assist with rolling out and maintaining HR policies and procedures.
• Contribute to HR projects and company-wide initiatives as needed.
• Keep employee files, records, and HR documentation accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with teams such as IT, Finance, and Operations to keep HR processes running smoothly.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong planning and coordination abilities are important, along with clear communication in both English and Mandarin, spoken and written. The role also calls for careful attention to detail, discretion when handling sensitive information, and confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems.
