Role Summary
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will spearhead the people strategy for J.Crew's corporate workforce, particularly supporting Shared Services client groups. Based on-site, this role acts as a strategic partner aligning HR initiatives with business goals to facilitate significant organizational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders to implement and advance people strategies focused on Talent Management & Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Change Management.
- Advise leaders on people-focused decisions, providing insight into the impact of organizational and talent choices.
- Coach and develop business partners to enhance leadership skills.
- Identify workforce challenges and propose solutions to HR business partners and senior management.
- Oversee the roll-out of company-wide HR programs tailored to business needs and provide feedback to HR leadership regarding evolving requirements.
- Direct talent planning processes within assigned business units.
- Evaluate organizational health, identify risks, and collaborate with Associate Relations to mitigate issues as required.
- Promote organizational values and cultivate a strong company culture.
- Serve as the HR authority on employee relations, ensuring compliance and managing performance and policy interpretations.
- Stay updated on retail industry trends to advise on strategic HR actions.
Candidate Profile
- At least six years of experience in human resources.
- A passion for fostering diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Proven ability to build relationships, lead teams, and coach in all facets of people management.
