About the Role

The Complex HR Team within Workforce and Organisational Development is seeking experienced and motivated HR Support Officers to join their team. These positions play a crucial role in aiding the organisation to meet its workforce attendance and wellbeing goals by delivering a proactive, comprehensive sickness absence management service. You'll collaborate with managers, employees, Occupational Health, and other stakeholders to improve attendance, support wellbeing, and ensure organizational adherence to policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee sickness absence procedures, including arranging meetings and hearings promptly.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and sickness absence data to identify trends.
  • Provide timely advice and guidance to employees and managers on attendance management policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and manage documentation, including scanning, photocopying, binding, and updating reports.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to foster consistent, fair, and compassionate attendance management practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: Diploma-level education or equivalent administrative skills acquired through training and experience, good general education, and advanced keyboarding abilities.
  • Desirable: Evidence of further study and personal development as well as a genuine interest in HR functions.
  • Extensive experience with office administration, electronic diary management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
