Hostess

Role Overview

As a Hostess, you will warmly welcome guests, determine the size of their party, and seat them at available, clean tables. Responsibilities include assisting guests through the dining area, arranging tables and chairs for groups with special needs, ensuring proper place settings with clean menus, napkins, and silverware, and maintaining dining environment cleanliness throughout your shift. You'll oversee seating availability, guest safety, and service quality in the dining rooms.

Key Duties

• Greet and seat guests courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas and place settings.
• Assist guests in navigating the dining space and accommodate special seating needs.
• Monitor menus to ensure they are current and presentable.
• Observe and uphold guest safety and service standards at all times.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving tables, chairs, and objects under 10 pounds.
• Adhere to company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality regarding company information.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Support and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• No prior work experience necessary.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications needed.
