Heavy Equipment Operator Assessor

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator Assessor based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to support certification processes for contractor personnel involved in Saudi Aramco projects. This contract role, valid for one year with potential extension, involves evaluating and certifying operators' skills through practical and written assessments.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on and written evaluations to validate the competency of operators handling heavy machinery.
• Support the certification team in pre-screening assessments of contractor staff.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Hold personal, valid certifications for operating multiple heavy equipment types such as Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Grader, Wheel Loader, Skid Loader, Backhoe Loader, or Sideboom/Telehandler.
• Possess a minimum of five years of practical experience operating heavy machinery.
• At least three years of experience in instructing or training heavy equipment operators.
• Minimum three years of formal experience assessing and certifying operator competency, specifically evaluating operator fitness rather than conducting equipment inspections or safety audits.
• Assessor qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, Highfield Train the Trainer) are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing as well as intermediate skills in MS Office applications.

Clarifications

• This position is distinct from roles focused on health, safety, and environment (HSE) or safety audits.
• It does not involve mechanical inspections or equipment safety compliance checks.

Additional Information

The employment contract will be facilitated through the payroll company, Prime Innovation. The role requires onsite presence in Dammam.
