Healthcare Assistant at UPMC Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny

Position Overview

UPMC is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at Aut Even Hospital located in Kilkenny. This is a permanent full-time role focused on supporting patient care within a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient observations accurately as required.
• Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Manage inventory including linen, treatment room supplies, medical solutions, and office stationery following directions from the Ward Manager or Deputy.
• Ensure bedside equipment is clean and sterile at all times.
• Prepare beds and patient areas for post-operative patients.
• Escort patients safely to various hospital departments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of a Relevant FETAC Level 5 qualification.
• Proven experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is essential.
• Ability to collaboratively work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
