About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Group Operations Director to spearhead the operational overhaul of an expanding multi-brand food and beverage portfolio in Qatar. This high-level position focuses on constructing scalable operational systems, driving commercial results, and laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and business expansion. Success will be assessed by the deployment of strong operational frameworks that ensure the business runs consistently, efficiently, and independently of individual leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of operations across a multi-brand F&B portfolio by designing and executing scalable operation models supportive of long-term growth.
  • Perform thorough operational evaluations to detect performance deficiencies and deploy improvements across all units.
  • Create, apply, and continuously refine standard operating procedures, policies, operational manuals, and governance frameworks to guarantee compliance and consistency.
  • Oversee financial metrics including food and labor costs, profitability, contribution margin, and EBITDA to boost financial results.
  • Develop and implement operational reporting systems, KPIs, and performance measurement tools to back informed decision-making.
  • Formulate procurement approaches that improve supplier quality, inventory control, product standards, and cost efficiency.
  • Set clear guest experience benchmarks and foster ongoing improvement via audits, customer feedback, mystery shopper programs, and service quality efforts.
  • Guide organizational change by establishing operational discipline, enhancing accountability, and driving adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Mentor and grow operational leadership teams, establish succession strategies, and reinforce business-wide capabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to design expandable operational models facilitating future growth, concept replication, and franchise preparedness.
  • Enhance ERP and operational technologies for better reporting accuracy, inventory tracking, recipe costing, and automation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Operations Management, or similar; an MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in multi-site food & beverage or hospitality operations.
  • Proven expertise in constructing operational systems, frameworks, and scalable processes across multiple locations.
  • Strong commercial insight with extensive P&L management and profitability enhancement experience.
  • Track record in steering operational transformations, organizational changes, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Practical knowledge of ERP systems, operational reports, and performance review tools.
  • Thorough understanding of procurement, supply chain, inventory, and operational governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities.
  • Experience in supporting business growth, new branch openings, franchising, or multi-unit expansions is highly beneficial.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, effectively balancing operational excellence with commercial results.
