Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Frontend Development (iGaming) based in Germany to lead the frontend vision and engineering strategy for a broad array of digital gaming products. This role involves building a new B2B platform frontend from scratch and overseeing existing B2C platforms, ensuring robust architecture, performance, and scalability. The position includes managing a large remote team of 20-25 frontend engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Own and direct the frontend architecture strategy for current B2C digital platforms emphasizing scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
Lead the creation of a new, scalable B2B frontend platform utilizing contemporary technologies and methodologies.
Manage, mentor, and inspire a distributed frontend engineering team of 20-25 seasoned professionals, including team leads.
Set frontend standards, architectural principles, best coding practices, and enforce quality via rigorous code reviews and leadership.
Drive performance enhancements to guarantee fast, reliable user experiences on high-traffic applications.
Promote the integration of AI-driven tools and innovative techniques to boost engineering efficiency and product development.
Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless and responsive user experiences.
Build a high-accountability culture fostering psychological safety, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional growth.
Ensure frontend solutions are optimized for modern cloud infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployment and scaling.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience leading large frontend engineering teams, ideally managing 20+ developers through team leads and senior engineers.
Deep technical expertise in JavaScript, React, and modern frontend development frameworks and workflows.
Experience architecting and optimizing frontends for high-traffic volumes with real-time data updates.
Strong knowledge of cloud frontend infrastructure, especially AWS services such as CloudFront, S3, and CI/CD pipelines.
Expertise in making architectural decisions, establishing engineering standards, and driving technical quality across teams.
Experience or familiarity with SvelteKit is highly advantageous.
Excellent collaboration skills across product, design, backend, and infrastructure teams.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication capabilities in remote, diverse working environments.
Background in iGaming, casino, entertainment, or other large-scale consumer-facing sectors is strongly preferred.
Strategic thinker capable of balancing technical vision with business goals and team development.
