Head of Distribution - Retail Banking

Role Overview

The Head of Distribution at Access Bank Plc is responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive strategies to drive the Retail Banking business in the short, medium, and long term, aligned closely with the bank's overall group objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and regularly assess Retail Banking business strategies consistent with Access Bank's group plan.
• Set and agree upon sales targets for Retail Banking products across all regions and branches throughout the bank.
• Lead the creation and execution of division-wide Retail Banking strategies, encompassing marketing, sales, and product development.
• Oversee product and service development tailored to retail banking clientele.
• Manage current customer relationships and foster new ones, collaborating closely with Commercial and Institutional Banking divisions.
• Authorize and supervise business plans and operational scopes for Product Heads and their teams to ensure alignment with division targets, including geographic considerations.
• Coordinate activities across divisions to promote effective teamwork and seamless workflow between Retail, Commercial Banking, and Institutional Banking teams.
• Track and analyze performance metrics for all Retail Banking products bank-wide and deliver regular reports.
• Establish a customer management framework emphasizing insights-driven marketing to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a first degree in any discipline; having a Masters degree in a related field is advantageous.
• Holding an ACIB qualification is considered a plus.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in Retail Banking, including at least three years in a managerial role.
