Head of Digital Integration - Logistics & Supply Chain

About the Role

This leadership position is based in Germany at a prominent European logistics and supply chain organization. The role entails heading the freshly established integration and transformation division, overseeing system integration architectures, setting integration standards, and managing governance across multiple platforms, customers, and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the newly created integration and transformation team.
• Own the architecture, standards, and policies related to integrations across internal systems and client platforms.
• Guide the effective utilization of Lobster as the primary integration platform throughout the technology landscape.
• Develop and promote modern interface strategies involving REST, JSON, XML, and associated integration methodologies.
• Maintain technical credibility to advise and architect solutions without engaging in daily hands-on integration development.
• Lead solution brainstorming sessions, drive architectural decision-making, and establish best practices for the team.
• Assist in consolidating disparate technical abilities into a robust centralized technology function.
• Collaborate extensively with senior leadership, including the CIO and executive board, to align integration initiatives with business goals.
• Enhance integration quality, reduce manual operational tasks, and optimize data flow among business systems, SAP, HR systems, and the broader IT environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven expertise in integration architecture, interface oversight, and leading technical teams.
• Deep knowledge of current integration standards such as REST APIs, JSON data interchange, and XML formats.
• Strong technical background, comfortable providing strategic guidance without routine hands-on development.
• Experience in solution design using whiteboard sessions and leadership in defining team direction.
• Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or comparable intricate enterprise systems is highly advantageous.
• Ability to introduce order, standardization, and advanced practices into a previously fragmented IT environment.
• Willingness to work on-site primarily, with limited remote work options during the initial transformation period.
• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for working effectively with high-level stakeholders.
